There were three Typewriting institutions in this Town. Among them two are closed and one one is also remaining open presently. : Assam Typewriting Institute, Darrang Typewriting School and Kharupetia Commercial Institupe.
KHARUPETIA COMMERCIAL INSTITUTE :
Kharupetia Commercial Institute, a Govt. Regd. Institute to trained the Youths for Typewriting and Stenography. This is the only institution where Stenography is taught. But the present condition is poor and a few machines are remained. It was established in the Year - 1984 and a large number of trainees are out from this institute.
