Sri Sri Ramkrishna Sevashram, Kharupetia

In the year 1968-69 an ayurvedic physician named Bhabotosh Bhattacharjee came at Kharupetia and opened an ayurvedic medicine shop near Sailabala High School by N.H-52. He had grace from the 8th Guru of Ramkrishna Math & Mission Swami Bishudhanandaji. There was also one disciple of Mata Saradamoni at this town named Dr. Krishna Chandra Saha. Mr. Bhattacharyee met him. Late Banabashi Debnath, Late Dhirendra Taran, some excise inspector ate Paritosh Sur met them. Thus they tied with affection and conversations were made among them for Sri Sri Thakur. Some other devotee of Thakur joined with them. Gradually the house of doctor became a small meeting place for the devoted persons of Sri Sri Thakur. Prayer, worship and reading of books of Thakur was started here. The festival of Thakur was also celebrated at the house of Dr. Narendra Nath Chakraborty (D.T.M.) once/two times. Before going back Guwahati of Bhattacharjee (Kabiraj) small functions were performed at Banowari Puja Mandir premises to preach the thoughts of Sri Sri Thakur. Gradually the local youths were attracted by the thoughts of Thakur. By the efforts of them the birth anniversary of Sri Sri Thakur was celebrated at Binapani Club, Kharupetia Chariali.
